Mawut Achiek is a South Sudanese multiply-nominated, award-winning poet and social activist. His debut poetry collection, pinnacle of Love, was one of the books recognised by the Honoree African Author Award in 2023. Mawut explores the themes of love and betrayal, war and its woes, and in line with his other fiery passion, activism, themes based on the well-being of the disadvantaged especially the marginalised womenfolk and estranged girl-child. His dedication to his craft is testified by his plethora of publications in several anthologies and magazines within and beyond his borders.
